Consider that the symbol for any nation is its flag, supported by its pledge of allegiance and national anthem. Coupled with the geographical boundaries, these identify the nation and its people. It is unthinkable that the citizens of any nation would disrespect its borders, flag, allegiance to its flag, and its national anthem. In the United States of America, based on the constitution, written and enacted by the founding fathers, we, the people, have the Bill of Rights, and the 1st Amendment. The first amendment was intended for the people to question its government, among other things.
Can we get the flag, pledge of allegiance, and the national anthem exempt from harm under the 1st Amendment? These represent the people and all their sacrifices made throughout history to preserve this nation. Your comments are appreciated.
